Our Story
Manos’ philosophy was never built around trends. It was built around good food, Greek hospitality, and the simple belief that the best meals are shared.
Since opening our doors in 2003, we’ve become a familiar part of Bahrain’s dining scene. Over the years, we’ve stayed true to what has always mattered most: quality ingredients, warm service, and creating a place people want to return to.
Our story began long before Manos Bistro. Founders Mano and Rena spent more than 40 years in the restaurant industry, working in grand hotels, private golf clubs, and Greek restaurants across Zimbabwe. Their passion for hospitality and bringing people together has always been at the heart of everything they do.
In 2001, they moved to Bahrain, and two years later, Manos Bistro was born. What started as a family restaurant has grown into a place where generations have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, family dinners, and everyday moments around the table.
Today, that same spirit lives on through their three sons, Pavlos, Alexandros, and Andreas. Together, they continue to build on the values their parents started with: welcoming people warmly, serving food with care, and making every guest feel at home.
Our Philosophy
Manos was built on family, honesty, hard work, and making people feel welcome. Our story stretches across four generations, from Greece to Africa and the Middle East, and those values still guide everything we do today.
We want every guest to feel at home from the moment they walk through our doors. We believe the best meals are shared, and we aim to create spaces where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy good food together.
As we continue to grow, we remain proud of where we came from while always looking ahead. Whatever changes, our guests, our team, and our sense of Greek hospitality will always come first.
